Hello. Congratulations on the channel. I hope you can answer my question and that there may be a solution for my problem. I will not hide from you that for many months I have been using Davinci Resolve more. I have specific projects with which I still use Final Cut Pro x. I noticed that I can no longer find the "stabilize" function among the tools. I still find "Transform" - "Crop" - "Distort" - "Color conform! Thanks". What to do?

There can be a ton of reasons why it isn't showing up. Did you look in the correct place? Do you have a word in the search bar in FCP? Did you restart FCP?
@@StupidRaisins thanks for your quick reply. I do have a search bar and used it. I did not restart, will do. I did install your free sharpening effect. It didn’t show up. Only one of the effects I created in motion showed up in the effects panel. I am going to uninstall and reinstall FCP. I’ve not been using motion but your video lifted some of my apprehension.tX

Hi, I have 10.8 running on a Mac Sonoma 14.5 and when I try to advance the clip or reverse it to align with audio and I press option with . or , it doesn't move and I get a beep sound each time. Can anyone help me figure out why and what I need to do? Thanks!
That's strange. Can you please show me what you're tyring to do and what happens with a screen recording?
@@StupidRaisins before I saw your reply, I found a work around by putting a transition over it, trimming it then advancing it. I tried it on a different part of the clip and it worked. Thanks for your reply. Your channel is super helpful!!

what if i deleted the Library itself ! dose it remove all rendered files ?
Oh yeah. That will delete everything including original media so be very careful! Only delete the library if you want it all to be gone.

I really want to keyframe font color but can't find how to. I tried it with motion 5 but didn't work. I don't know what's the problem.
In Motion you can use the text sequence behavior to change font color overtime.

That will only work with either zoom in or out; not both.

I just want to say, I love you, Dylan. I am a fellow RUclipsr and a self-taught editor who gets stumped from time to time. I really questioned if I could record directly into my FCPX software with my webcam and you answered me beautifully. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. You are so incredibly talented. I have the most up to date FCP and thats so weird I dont have the "denies" effect. this is so weird. why would they take that out of the program?!

HI ! your videos are great and I have an extra question regarding color grading here on final cut well you see I realized (chatGPT told me..) that color grading after exporting my raw cuts from the long footage can damage the video quality, what do you think ? I export my videos as HDR on apple MPEG-4 movie -> HEVC, MPEG-4 AAC codecs. (BT.2020 HLG (9-18-9)
I would color grade on your original media. Don't export it and then color grade.

I don't know but in the past I used LRT TImelapse to remove flicker.

Any advice on what to do when you import media, and then immediately afterward, Final Cut freezes up and closes? When I reopened it, the imports I had done in the last couple hours were gone. When I looked up the Backup Libraries, the most recent one was from two days ago. But isn't it backing up constantly? Shouldn't there be a backup that is only an hour or two old, or am I crazy?
Is a certain file causing the crashes?
